Easter '08
Well, I've finally gotten some pictures from Easter on here. We started off the festivities by coloring and glittering some Easter eggs. Jaclyn's discovered how much she likes eating hard boiled eggs (thanks to Daddy). Ashlyn didn't care much about coloring the eggs...maybe next year.

We celebrated Easter Sunday with family in Kansas City, so I made their Easter baskets ahead of time and "smuggled" them in.

Epicenter
O.k., I'm currently reading a book called Epicenter by Joel Rosenberg and I can't put it down! (I guess that's part of the reason I haven't put any pictures on my blog recently...I have some from Easter...they'll get on here eventually.) Anyway, if you haven't read it, you should. We are clearly in the last days, and Joel clearly lays out what Bible prophecy tells us and how it is happening right now! He is quite confident that our generation will witness the return of Christ, and I am so glad that I am saved and will be raptured out of here before the tribulation period. It is so exciting to see God's hand at work and it reminds me to fervently pray for my children and my friends to accept the Lord's gift of salvation. You've got to read this book and check out his website at www.joelrosenberg.com for up-to-date events that take us closer every day.

BAD Hair Day
What would you do if you found this in the trash can?

You can imagine my reaction when I figured out that Jaclyn had given Ashlyn a haircut! And, it wasn't just a little cut. She cut large chunks out of the back of Ashlyn's hair. It's kinda hard to tell in the pictures just how bad it is, but there is now just a very thin layer of very short strands of hair. I cried for a half an hour when I found out.

My hair stylist fixed it up the best she could, but now it just has to grow back.

Ashlyn's 2!!!
Ashlyn turned 2 on March 2nd! We had a little birthday party with some friends to celebrate. Ashlyn was so funny as she was trying to blow out her candles and got very excited after we sang 'Happy Birthday' to her. What a sweetie! You can watch an adorable video of Ashlyn blowing out her candles at the very bottom of this blog...be sure to check it out.

Pictured here are Ashlyn, Cameron Miller, Austin Anderson, Ellie Isaacson, and Paige Safly.
