Baby's First Picture

Hurray! I was able to get an ultrasound today!

The new pregnancy support clinic in Iowa City is looking for pregnant girls to test out their new equipment on, so I got to go in and get some free pictures of my little one. What fun! Everything's looking good. The baby was moving quite a bit, and I saw all 4 chambers of the heart, beating nice and strong. They have a 3D machine too, but since I'm only 14 weeks, they couldn't get a good shot of the baby. Maybe next time.

Here he or she is. You can see the hand/arm up close to the face. The fingers are clear as day! Amazing how formed everything is at 14 weeks!

Hey everyone! Sorry to leave you hanging for so long with no info!

I am now 11 1/2 weeks along, so our due date is October 18th!

I had my 2nd OB appointment today and everything is looking good. I got to hear the heartbeat (yeah!), so that always cements things in my mind, that yes, there really is a baby in there and everything is o.k.!

I've had a rough couple of months dealing with all-day-long sickness, but it's actually tapering off now, so that is a huge relief. This is definitely not my favorite part of pregnancy!

So, that's the scoop! Not a lot to share, but enough to know that everything is going fine.
