So, January (and almost February) have slipped by without me posting anything, so I will do my best to fill in our fun events from that month. There were actually quite a few.
After allowing ourselves to calm down after the busy Christmas season, we were blessed to have a visit from my parents! They have been instrumental in my children's musical education, so they wanted to come for the girls winter piano recital, and we were delighted to have them.
We were able to take them to see Hillside and let the girls show them around.
Then on Saturday, they were able to come to the recital, and Nana was able to play a duet with Ashlyn, which Ashlyn was VERY excited about!
It was a very special time. Thank you, Nana and Pap, for coming!
The next big thing in January was the annual Hillside Ski Trip! This was our first time skiing as a family and the girls loved it! They caught on pretty quickly and actually were skiing by the end! Mom was impressed. :) Kendall loved it too. She got to ride on Daddy's skis and had a great time.
Jaclyn has also had the opportunity to be on an Upward Cheerleading squad this winter. She has totally loved it, so it has been a great experience for her. And to top it off, one of her good friends, Abigail, is on the team with her. Bonus!!
And, the month ended with Ashlyn getting glasses! She was so excited and has loved wearing them ever since!
